DESCRIPTION:GNCC The John Penton\nThe John Penton is one of the longest-running GNCCs around\, and is held at Sunday Creek Raceway in Southern Ohio. The event is named after one of the pioneers of off-road motorcycle racing in America\, as John Penton is the man who originally imported the KTM motorcycle from Austria into the United States. In fact\, they even called them ‘Pentons’ back then\, since John created so many improvements for the machines. \nThe track is great\, with a nice mix of fast\, flowing trails with some fresh\, tight stuff thrown in as well. There’s nothing too difficult here as far as hills or mud bogs\, even when it’s muddy\, but it can get rough as the race wears on\, so be prepared to pace yourself when needed. The Sunday Creek motocross track is a fun one too\, with a few simple jumps\, one nice step-up and plenty of wide-open corners for flat tracking (and passing). SUMMARY:GNCC Ironman
DESCRIPTION:GNCC Ironman\nThe GNCC Ironman is one of the most popular races on the circuit in Indiana. Tom’s Marine Sales\, the local Polaris dealership hosts the event\, and their large farm offers plenty of land for the track. Community support for this race is amazing. Ironman GNCC banners hang downtown\, and the spectator count is incredible. The event has grown so much that it’s overflowing from race to full-on industry trade show with many companies displaying the next year’s models. \nAs far as the track\, many riders call this one their favorite on the whole tour. The track has it all. The land in this area is totally flat\, but the course runs near riverbanks\, which means there’s still plenty of elevation change. In fact\, the hills here are some of the steepest on the circuit. \nOutside of the woods\, the course routes across harvested cornfields. You’ll have your machine pegged at its absolute top-speed several times here. From tight trails\, to technical hillclimbs\, gullies\, rock sections and creeks\, all on top of great dirt\, this track is a true test for a cross-country racer’s all-around skills. \nDetails: GNCC Racing\nBCC Home
