BCC Rider Spotlight: Kya Rudrick

Kya Rudrick

May 2026 | From KTM 85SX to Championship Wins

This May, we are proud to recognize Kya Rudrick as our BCC Spotlight Rider — a dedicated young racer whose passion, determination, and natural talent continue to make an impact both on and off the track.

At just 13 years old, Kya has already built an impressive resume in the off-road racing world. She has been riding for five years and racing competitively for four, proving that age is no limit when it comes to commitment and drive. Her journey into riding began with her father, Kyle Rudrick, who introduced her to the sport. After spending a year learning and developing her skills, Kya decided she wanted to take riding more seriously — and she has not looked back since.

Kya currently races a 2024 KTM 85SX, which she and her father recently transformed into a 105 as part of a custom project. She also races a 2023 KTM 150 and occasionally rides her father’s 2023 KTM 350, continuing to expand her experience across multiple bikes and riding styles.

When it comes to the long-standing debate between motocross and harescrambles, Kya confidently chooses harescrambles. While she spent a year racing motocross, she quickly realized her true strength was in the woods and technical terrain. The tight sections, challenging conditions, and strategic riding style are what fuel her passion for racing.

Her hard work and dedication have already led to major accomplishments, including two championships — one in Junior Woods Mini and another in Women’s competition. Kya actively races with CRA, EROC, AWRCS, and GNCC, continuing to challenge herself against strong competition across multiple series.

Although woods racing is her specialty, Kya still enjoys motocross tracks as well. Her favorite motocross track is West Craven MX in North Carolina, while Homestead stands out as her favorite woods course thanks to its technical layout and fun terrain.

For younger riders entering the sport, Kya offers advice that reflects both maturity and experience:
“Always stand up. It helps with balance and technique. Do not compare yourself to others because you all start at different points in your lifetime and nobody goes the same speed.”

Kya’s positive mindset, work ethic, and love for the sport continue to inspire riders around her. We are excited to watch her keep growing, competing, and accomplishing new goals throughout this race season and beyond.

Congratulations on all of your success, Kya — we cannot wait to see what is next for you!
