Battle of the Goats | AMA US National Hard Enduro (NHE) Championship
The Battle of the Goats is a highly technical hard enduro race that serves as a cornerstone event in the AMA US Hard Enduro Series and the opening round of the East Regional Championship. Hosted at the Brushy Mountain Motorsports Park in Taylorsville, North Carolina, the course is notorious for its brutal terrain, including relentless rock gardens, off-camber roots, ultra-slick creeks, and extreme hill climbs. The format includes Saturday qualifiers that riders must finish within a time limit to advance to Sunday’s longer, main event, which is designed to test the skill and endurance of top professional and amateur riders alike.
The event attracts top talent in the sport, with past winners including Trystan Hart, Cody Webb, and Ryder LeBlond. The 2026 edition, which marks the 10th anniversary of the race, is expected to be a major highlight of the national championship calendar. It offers significant exposure for riders and sponsors, drawing a dedicated crowd of spectators to witness some of the gnarliest terrain conquerable by dirt-bikes.
