Beaver Creek Cycle Rider Spotlight
Jacob Blakeley
Twenty-year-old Jacob Blakeley brings a grounded, wholehearted spirit to the world of off-road racing. When he is not on his Husqvarna FC 350, you can find him fishing, hunting, or trail riding with his buddies — anything that keeps him outdoors, connected, and moving. Family and friends anchor his world, and he makes it a priority to spend as much time with them as possible. Even with a full schedule of riding, training, and weekend adventures, Jacob stays dedicated to making it to church every Sunday he is able.
Jacob discovered harescramble racing almost by accident. In 2023, a friend invited him along to a few events. Until that moment, he had no idea that harescrambles even existed — but once he saw the energy, the challenge, and the rush of the woods racing scene, he was hooked. Being new to dirt bikes meant he was usually the one left behind when riding with his friends, but instead of discouraging him, it lit a fire. Each time he threw a leg over his bike, he pushed harder, trained a little longer, and refused to settle for anything less than progress.
For Jacob, the best riding days happen when a group of guys heads deep into the woods for a free-ride session — the perfect mix of technical trails, flowing lines, and a few jumps to keep things interesting. His favorite place to train is BullRun Raceway, while his favorite tracks to race are a toss-up between two local favorites: Big Valley and Skyview. When the opportunity comes, he also loves heading out East to ride Day In The Dirt, a track with its own unique rhythm and personality.
Jacob rides with heart, grit, and gratitude — and he is just getting started.

“No matter where you come from or when you started, it is never too late to give it your all. Push yourself, believe in your potential, and go for it. Do not let others discourage you — use it as fuel.”
